Invitations from conference: 8th International Conference on Fog, Fog Collection and Dew in National Taiwan University (Taipei, 14th - 19th Jul., 2019), Taiwan
The International Fog and Dew Association (IFDA) was founded in 2016 as an umbrella organization of conference series on fog, fog collection and dew. The tri-annual conference series started in Canada (first and second conferences, 1998 and 2001) and went on to South Africa (2004), Chile (2007), Germany (2010), Japan (2013) and Poland (2016). The conferences were organized through the commitment of individuals, NGO’s and universities. After founding of IFDA in 2016, we have an official framework that facilitates the coordination processes of the conferences. 8th International Conference on Fog, Fog Collection and Dew (FFCD) is jointly organized by International Fog Dew Association (IFDA), National Taiwan University (NTU), National Central University (NCU), National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and National Dong Hwa University (NDHU). Taiwan owns a towering heights of majestic Mt. Jade (3952m) and its connected peaks (more 3000m) enrich Taiwan geologic landscapes with cloud/foggy forest and diverse plants & animals. Over 19% area of Taiwan is under the natural conservation protection to support ecological researches. Taipei City, the capital of Taiwan, is easily accessible from Taoyuan international airport. This modern city is the start point to explore this sub-tropic beautiful big island. NTU (where host IFDA 2019 conference) locates at the heart of Taipei and is the oldest and biggest university in Taiwan. The SHIH-LIANG CHIEH Lecture Hall in NTU just opened in summer of 2018 and to host 8th FFCD international guests. Cordially welcome your visit to Taiwan and participation at the 8th FFCD.
