The Program for Integrated Action, codenamed the “Orchid Project,” is a new joint project launched by the National Science Council of Taiwan and the French Institute in Taipei. The main objective of this project is to promote increased scientific cooperation and exchange between Taiwan and France by providing necessary funding for traveling scientists and academic conferences. Interested researchers and institutions are invited to submit project proposals. Proposals will be reviewed on a yearly basis by an independent review committee composed of officials from both Taiwan and France. The deadline for proposal applications is May 31th, 2007.
