2nd international workshop on the “Impact of Groundwater in Earth system Models (IGEM)”, is part of the bilateral (France and Taiwan) project, IGEM, with the objective to bring together experts in groundwater modeling, land surface model (LSM) development, interactions between groundwater and climate, and remote sensing applications on the measure of groundwater changes, to discuss the state of the art on the relationships between groundwater and the local/regional/global water cycle variabilities. We aim at developing and tightening our links with international leaders in groundwater modeling and observations, as well as changes in groundwater storage regionally and globally, and its links to the climate. The objective is to bring together experts in groundwater modeling, land surface model development, land-atmosphere interactions, and remote sensing, to discuss the state of the art and perspectives on the relationships between groundwater and the global water cycle variability.
IGEM is the first step of a larger international project on the intercomparison of the groundwater models in climate models. This workshop is planned in Taipei, Taiwan, during March 18-20, 2019. The workshops will gather the IGEM participants, and all interested scientists in the world. This 3-day workshop will leave plenty of time for both detailed scientific talks, and round-table discussions.
Cordially welcome your visit to Taiwan and participation at the 2019 2nd IGEM workshop. For detailed information, please visit: https://byjoydesign.com/igem/
